J-UK safely delivered to Brent 'Action Man's' Yard
New bottom end all nice and cleaned and all pistons move smoothly now Norm taking off clutch from old engine to check the fly wheel against the rusty one on the new engine Tip from the brewer, when removing the rockers (thingy me bobs) make sure you put the cover back on but upside down with at least 2 of the nuts on, that way the springs will not jump away and everything dismantle when removing Cleaned out and round gear and transfer box, and yes I moved this all on my own Top end waiting a good clean, and use petrol to check for leaks. Exhaust manifold off and ready to be cleaned. Got the engine and gearbox back in (finally) and we even got the paint brushes out too Front dumb irons. It was only the rust holding it all together Nice new dumb irons (thanks Debs ) Not quite finished yet - Bri's welder needed a new end apparently
The incredible stretching rust hole on the main chassis rail And just a little patch on the outrigger Also got a bit brave and decided the hardtop had to come off. I know the rear tub still has to come off for the chassis work to be done but I really needed to know what Fred looked like with a nice limestone truck cab on
