Looking at the bottom of the Land Rover, near the ground, there's one in each corner  Wink

Actually......as they've only done the eight miles back home from Fanny Craddocks it's probably a bit early to tell, but no probs so far!  I'll be thrashing them down to Southampton at the weekend, then up to Kielder Forest via Norm's the following week with a days off roading included.  Ask me again then!

Early reports indicate ok after 350 mile round trip to Southampton and Rugby.

They're noisier than the Grabber ATRs but not excessively so and they handle well on road at motorway speeds (although I had to slow down coming home as one of the fronts threw its balance weight and it nearly shook the front axle off at anything above 50!)

Keeping a log of fuel usage and will report further when I have a reasonable milage to comment on.  Cool

Glad they're doing you proud mate... take them back to craddocks as that weight shouldn't have come off!! Have them all rechecked if I were you...

Thinking about it I might get mine checked... might explain the vibration I've got although I can't see any missing Undecided

Good choice Robin.

I am very happy with the STT's I fitted to my 109. I was surprised at how quiet they were on the road.

I am pretty sure the other tyres mentioned would also be very good, but the price at Craddocks is hard to beat.

I got a set of replacement Khumo KL71's today. They are directional now and the tread pattern is different to the old ones. Bit more aggressive looking. Quiet on road and seem more grippy.

Would certainly have been my second choice, especially at the price DanH was offering.

Preliminary studies show that the Coopers are costing me 0.825 miles per gallon compared with the Grabber TRs.......so about what might be expected.  They've been used in most conditions now on and off road and certainly do what it says on the tin!  So, no complaints so far!   Wink

Driving up and down the garden to the shed one of my coopers found a rusty 'felt roof' nail Shocked Fortunately the head of the nail was so large and the tread so deep (plus I guess the armortec insides of the tyre helped) that it only managed to penetrate a mm or so into the tyre I've since raked and mowed the barren wasteland that is the garden so hopefully no more scary moments for me... Roll Eyes

I don't really do enough mileage to work out my fuel consumption accurately... Example being... I'm still on the tank of fuel I topped up with half way back from Wales at a Texaco station (that was a tardis inside Shocked ) Got just under a quarter of a tank left... Tongue

I've not really checked fuel comsuption since I had the V8 hybrid.  Reckon the 90 averages 30mph at 80 - 85p a litre.  Grin Depending on the right foot of course.  Wink
